22 years protected with PSS 20 against graffiti and pollution from the air

The Brandenburg Gate in Berlin has been protected ever since 1991 with PSS 20 against graffiti attacks and pollution from the air (sout). Every 2 years the collected dirt has been and will be washed down together with the PSS 20 flim using hot water only (no chemicals used) and thereafter reprotected with PSS 20. Graffiti will naturally be removed immediately after every attack. In this way the walls of the Brandenburg Gate stay clean and no damaging pollution from the air can penetrate into the natural stones of the gate. PSS Interservie GmbH of Berlin carries out all this work on order of the Berlin Senate.
